Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, Georgia held an open house Monday, May 5 for area vendors and currently-booked brides to showcase the plantation’s newest venues – Piney Grove Church and Oak Post. Jess McGuire, Wildlife Biologist with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources recently began a new assignment in the Thomasville area, including Pebble Hill Plantation. McGuire, along with Jim Cox, Tall Timbers Vertebrate Ecology Program Director, were at Pebble Hill Wednesday afternoon to acquaint McGuire with PHP employees and the nesting areas of the Red Cockaded Woodpecker. Pebble Hill is proud to host Nellie McKay in concert February 15, 2015, 2:00 p.m. in the Big Room of Pebble HIll's Main House. This concert is part of Florida State University's Opening Nights Performing Arts series. There will be no Main House tours on this date, however the grounds will remain open for visitation.
