September 9, 2009 - Our family recently visited Pebble Hill on Saturday, September 5th. We were all quite impressed not only with the grounds and the main house but with our knowledgeable tour guide, Louise. Louise was lively, well-informed, generous, with a perfect amount of humor during our tour of the main house. The method in which she described even the smallest trinkets was simply stellar. She truly made the place come alive for us all. Many of us are from towns that have a deep sense of history (Waycross, St. Simons Island, Thomasville, and Columbus, Georgia), and Louise definitely shares an appreciation and passion for local history. If it is at all possible, please extend our compliments to Louise. She truly deserves a high amount of praise for her role at Pebble Hill.
