Pebble Hill Trail Ride
St. Patrick's Day Ride
March 17, 2012
10 am - 2 pm
Our trail ride is an opportunity to ride through the beautiful piney woods, magnolias, and live oaks of this magnificent plantation. Riders often get a glimpse of some plantation residents - deer, turkey and even alligators in the swamp areas. The ride itself lasts from 10 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon and covers approximately 11 miles of scenic and varied terrain. Don't miss out on this "soon to be favorite tradition" at Pebble Hill.
The entry fee [ $20/ each for Adults and $10/each for children] includes hotdogs, chips and a cold drink, which you can enjoy under the majestic oaks at trails end. There will also be a planned rest stop midway through the ride. The St. Patrick's Day Trail Ride Registration Form is available here [pdf format - requires Acrobat Reader to open]. Payment and mailing instructions are on this form. Registration is also allowed the day of the ride, but please allow enough time to fill out form before ride begins so other participants will not be inconvenienced and ride can start on time.
The terrain is such that individuals who desire to "hit the trail" with horse and wagon will be able to participate in this event - it is not just for horse and rider. (PS - we like mules, too.) There is plenty of parking available as well.
The ride will begin at the Pennyworth Barn, which is approximately 1 mile south of Pebble Hill's main entrance gate. All participants will enter at this gate for sign-in and then will be directed to the parking area. Please join us - we look forward to seeing you there.
Please Be Advised - We do require proof of negative Coggins. There will be no exceptions. This must be shown at sign-in.
Volunteers are Welcome!!!
We are always looking for good people to help us with this event. If you wish to volunteer, please call Brenda Singletary at 229-227-5384 or you may email her at bsingletary@pebblehill.com.
