Volunteering at Pebble Hill Plantation
Volunteers for Education and Outreach
Join the crew that provides all the fun at family and children’s events. Our volunteers help with arts & crafts, summer camp, special events for children, and activities that involve the whole family--everything from helping Santa to dipping ice cream at a summer social. We can promise that you will go home tired, but it will be after having fun, helping your neighbors, and enjoying the wonderful world that is Pebble Hill Plantation. Sign up! We’d love to have you!!! General Volunteers
Choose to volunteer at Thomasville’s premier attraction!
Volunteering at Pebble Hill Plantation can be a unique and rewarding experience that offers the chance to broaden your skills and knowledge, meet new people, and gain satisfaction from helping with a worthwhile endeavor. At the same time, Pebble Hill is strengthened by its volunteers and their participation in everyday operations and the various special events the Plantation sponsors throughout the year.
Some areas involve direct contact with our visitors and others involve advance preparations for the events.
Well-spoken adults are needed to conduct tours through the Main House. Hours vary and can be flexible.
Teenagers and adults are needed to help with the different special events. Work load and hours vary. Some examples of the different areas are ticket takers, information station staff, tour escorts, assistants in the Plantation Store, and helpers with a variety of children’s programs.
Many opportunities are available. Let us help you find the volunteer area that will be of particular interest to you. Contact Barbara Cohenour at bcohenour@pebblehill.com or 229-227-5382.
